01/12, Tuesday, Two Governor Forums

10am-Noon, Metro Tech, Spring Lake Campus, MLK Blvd, OKC. The focus is on budget cuts to state agencies.  “ STAND UP FOR Seniors”   State treasurer Scott Meacham budget Update at 10 A.M. 

Panel of legislative Leaders  11:25 A.M.  It will be attended by Lt. Gov Jari Askins and Attorney General  Drew Edmondson. Free and open to all.

6 P.M. at Oklahoma City Community College, Leadership Oklahoma.  Attending will be Democratic Candidates for Governor,  Lt, Gov Jari Askins.  Attorney General Drew Edmondson and Republican candidate Senator Randy Brogdon.

01/12, Tuesday, OCDP Monthly Planning Meeting

We have a meeting the second Tuesday evening of every month. The county party planning meeting starts at 6:00 at ODP, 4100 N Lincoln Blvd, OKC. In addition, same day, same place- the outreach committee meets at 5:00pm and the Education Committee meets at 7:30pm.

Join us Fridays at Noon for our Speaker Luncheons at the Boulevard Cafeteria, 525 NW 11^th ST, OKC. Our speaker this week is Representative Richard Morrissette of House District 92.

01/16, Saturday, Dance for Literacy, Rivera for School Board District 7 Event

8:00pm. Host: Friends for Wilfredo Rivera, International Dance Studio, 3001 N.W. 73rd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73116 US, Phone: 405-631-3027. Salsa, Tango and Swing until midnight. Enter our Dance contest and Win. Pot Luck food. Bring your beverage of choice. Relax, dress is casual. Bring your friends and your dancing shoes. Have some adult fun. Ages eighteen plus, please. $10.00 contribution.

01/18, Monday, Walk with US, MLK Parade

2:00pm-4:00pm. Oklahoma County Democrats have a spot for the parade & we want to have the largest group there! Candidates, groups & activists all invited to join. Where your gear!! The parade is scheduled to depart from N.W. 13th and Robinson at 2:00 p.m., groups will be gathered between NW 7^th & 13^th starting at Noon.

02/20, OCDP Annual Medallion Dinner

The county will host our dinner at the Jim Thorpe Sports Hall of Fame at 4040 N. Lincoln Blvd. The Petroleum Club will cater.  It will be on Saturday, February 20th, 2010.  Cocktail hour will be at 6:00 pm and dinner at 7:00.  Volunteers, Silent Auction Items & Sponsors needed, if you can help out please contact Marguerite, mleon82@msn.com
